PhD Candidate

I am a (5th year) PhD candidate in the Department of Linguistics studying the phonetics and phonology of BC English and Salish languages. My dissertation is on reduplication across the Salish language family and I am also interested in describing of the ʔayʔaǰuθəm (Comox-Sliammon, Central Salish) sound system broadly and as a heritage language. I combine fieldwork methodology with acoustic analysis.
